Clinical-therapeutic work

  • Development of an intramural therapy program for so-called sex offenders including supervision of the psychologists working there in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice Baden-Württemberg.
  • Cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs of Baden-Württemberg within the framework of scientific accompanying research for the psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic of the Bewährungshilfe Stuttgart e. V. Project for catamnestic examination of the offenders treated there psychotherapeutically. Forensic-psychiatric outpatient clinic
  • Co-supervision of the psychiatric consultation service at Rottenburg Prison and Tübingen Prison.

  • Working group at the Federal Court of Justice for the development of quality criteria for criminal law assessments.
  • Further development of the assessment guidelines for fitness to drive in cooperation with the Joint Advisory Council for Traffic Medicine at the Federal Ministry of Transport and the Federal Ministry of Health.
  • Cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health on the further development of the "Anhaltspunkte für die ärztliche Gutachtertätigkeit".
  • Research project with the German Federation of Institutions for Statutory Accident Insurance (Hauptverband der Gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften) on the assessment of MdE and causality criteria in the context of statutory accident insurance.
  • Working group for the development of an AWMF-capable guideline for the assessment of subjects with chronic pain.
  • Consultant to the Federal Insurance Court, Lucerne on the assessment of subjects with chronic pain.

Associated Working Groups - Forensic Brain Imaging

The research network NeMUP-Nord, which is funded by the BMBF, is investigating mechanisms that may underlie child sexual abuse on the one hand and pedophilic sexual preference on the other.

  • Annual realisation of the interdisciplinary conference "Forensic-Psychiatric Discussion Tübingen".
  • Participation in the certification committee of the DGPPN for the certificate "Forensic Psychiatry".
  • Elaboration of the further training contents for the implementation of the focal point designation "Forensic Psychiatry" decided by the German Medical Congress in 2003 in cooperation with the State Medical Association of Baden-Württemberg.
  • Co-organiser of the Southwest German Academy for Further Training in Forensic Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in cooperation with the Central Institute for Mental Health Mannheim and the Institute for Forensic Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Homburg/Saar.
  • Supervision of the psychotherapeutic training candidates of the clinic.
  • Regular teaching activities within the framework of the German Judicial Academy and the German Lawyers' Academy for Lawyers.
  • Regular teaching activities within the framework of the Federal Association of Accident Insurance Funds for employees of the statutory accident insurance.
