Shared exchange and reflection of experiences and knowledge between the participants is just as much a part of the teaching as the targeted teaching of selected learning content by our lecturers. In order to provide the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the psychiatric care process, we focus on the psychodynamic and pedagogical aspects in dealing with patients and the team, group activities within the course and dealing with groups, social psychiatric approaches as well as the development of the personality of the participants. Psychiatric and psychotherapeutic internship

Since the Psychotherapists Act came into force, the completion of a psychiatric and a psychotherapeutic internship has been obligatory in the training to become a psychological psychotherapist. The entrance qualification for this training is the diploma in psychology. The training is carried out at a recognised training institute. The training institutes conclude cooperation agreements with suitable clinics for the implementation of the internships. Students can complete the psychiatric and psychotherapeutic internship at the clinic if a cooperation agreement exists between the institute and the clinic.

The clinic is recognized by the Regional Council of Stuttgart for both types of internship. In addition, outpatient training cases can be treated in the clinic's university outpatient clinic.
