University Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine
I welcome you to the website of our department.
The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine has more than 110 medical staff. Our clinic serves all operational departments within the University Hospital of CRONA clinics, ENT Clinic, the Department of Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Dermatology and the Department of Psychiatry. In 2011, we have provided approximately 32,000 anesthesia services, which are reflected in more than 80,000 contact hours anesthesia.
The second focus of our clinic is the care of seriously ill, seriously injured (multiple trauma) and patients undergoing major surgery (such as liver transplantation or cardiac surgery) on the anesthesiological intensive care unit 39. The therapy is guided in collaboration with our surgical colleagues to provide the highest quality for our patients.
In 2003, based on a catalogue of requirements, the "Pain Forum Baden-Württemberg" identified national and regional pain treatment centres. Within this framework, the University Hospital Tübingen was certificated as one of the 4 "National Pain Treatment Centres" in the State of Baden-Württemberg.
