  • Short Bio

Christopher R. Cederroth is a biologist who obtained his PhD in 2009 at the University of Geneva (Switzerland). As a post-doc, he worked on hearing loss and tinnitus at the Rockefeller University and at the Karolinska Institutet, where he developed his pre-clinical and clinical research on hearing loss and tinnitus. In 2014, he obtains a faculty funded position at the Karolinska Institutet and creates the Laboratory of Translational Auditory Neurosciences. He obtains his "Docentur" in 2018 and becomes Associate Professor. In 2023, he joins the University Hospital of Tübingen where he aims at bridging animal and human research in order to elucidate the molecular mechanisms causing auditory neuropathy, hearing loss and tinnitus, develop new objective measures, and therapeutic approaches for their treatment. Since 2022, he is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology.
