iFIT Lunch & Learn Session with Dr. Ralf Amann
Trial and error… and trial: what it takes to move a novel vector vaccine into the clinics

On behalf of the iFIT spokespersons Lars Zender, Hans-Georg Rammensee and Bernd Pichler, it is our pleasure to inform you about and invite you to the next episode of our iFIT Seminar Series 2023 that will take place
on Wednesday, May 24th at 12:00 pm s.t. (CEST)
at Crona HS 210 (Crona Kliniken, Hoppe-Seyler-Straße 3, 72076 Tübingen).
Our guest speaker Dr. Ralf Amann from Interfaculty Institute for Cell Biology, Department of Immunology, University of Tübingen will give a talk on
“Trial and error… and trial: what it takes to move a novel vector vaccine into the clinics”.
“Dr. Amann has been working on vaccines since his PhD thesis and has a strong focus on immunology, vector engineering, and biotechnology. Over the last decade, he has dedicated his research to developing Orf Virus (ORFV)-based vector vaccines, which he successfully brought into clinics last year. During his talk, he will introduce you to the ORFV vector platform technology and provide insights on what is necessary to translate a vaccine candidate from early research to the clinic. This includes vector conceptualization and generation, manufacturing according to GMP standards, preclinical and clinical investigations, and meeting regulatory requirements.”
As a special feature of this program, the iFIT will sponsor free lunch packages! (First come, first serve)
All members of the University Hospital and University of Tübingen are invited to participate!
We look forward to this Lunch & Learn session and to see you there!
