After last years great success with our very first Faculty Day, we are eager to announce this years second edition. This year we will shift our attention to a topic which has been on the science agenda for multiple years. Diversity is the cornerstone of excellent research and teaching. As a Faculty embedded in an international research environment, we thrive on the constant exchange of different perspectives. Therefore, our Faculty Day 2024 will take place under the claim “Diversity in Life Sciences: Unlocking the Potential for Research & Teaching”.
This year’s Faculty Day will take place in the Conference Center of the Schnarrenberg providing excellent conditions for our interactive sessions and get-together possibilities as well as a sequel of last year’s magnificent science slam! Furthermore, the nearby lecture hall in the Medical Clinic will host several plenary discussions.
We will start at 3 p.m. with a welcome by the dean in the big lecture hall of the Medical Clinic and close with a great Science Slam in the Casino. Please make sure to collect your name badge at the registration desk which will be open from 02:30pm.
Just like last year, there will be an aftermovie. By registering, you automatically agree to the recording of images and sound material, which will then be used in the aftermovie and for promotional purposes such as on social media.
Please note:
Due to capacity reasons we only have a limited amount of seats in the big lecture hall in the Medical Clinic. Therefore we cannot guarantee you to get a seat. When the capacity limit is reached, you will have the opportunity to use the lecture hall in the Pediatric clinic, where we will broadcast the first session live. The same applies to the the sessions 2 - 3 in the Casino but without the option of a livestream. First come, first served.
