Strengthen your research links with France and Germany
Researchers in UK universities and not-for-profit research institutions can now apply for grants to strengthen their research collaborations with France and Germany.
Our new Springboard programme supports teams of researchers in the UK and France or Germany to develop bilateral, collaborative projects around core themes.
The programme aims to support early-career researchers and includes communications training and one-week placements in partner institutions.
What does the programme cover?
Springboard projects will include:
a two-day meeting between team members to meet, exchange and discuss priorities for the launch of a collaborative project (see themes below)
online communication skills training (provided by the British Council)
one-week research placements in the partner institution.
What themes are covered?
Collaborative projects can cover five core themes, aligned to Horizon Europe priorities:
Health
Culture, creativity and inclusive society
Civil security for society
Digital, industry and space
Climate energy and mobility
Food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment.
This call is intended for support teams wishing to prepare applications for European and international funding (e.g. Horizon Europe).
Who can apply?
Applications are open to researchers in higher education institutions and not-for-profit research institutions based in the UK, and either France or Germany.
