Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg – Institute for Advanced Study
The fellowships of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg offer outstanding scientists the opportunity to focus on research without the distractions of everyday academic life. They receive the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from other disciplines, and to benefit from a diverse and vibrant fellowship community while living on the campus in Delmenhorst.
Through its fellowship program, the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg promotes scholarship and research in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. The program does not only benefit the individual fellow, but also the scientific community at regional research institutions. Funding for individual scientists is distributed through a number of fellowship opportunities of varying types and durations.
Regular Fellowships: Duration: 3-10 months with possible splitting into no more than two periods of residence. Requirements: completed doctoral degree (more than 5 years ago). The proposed project must be compatible with one of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg’s research areas. Applicants may collaborate with colleagues at regional universities and research institutes (optional).
Junior Fellowships: Duration: 3-10 months. Requirements: doctoral degree earned within the last five years. With regard to other regulations, conditions are the same as for regular fellowships.
The call is open until 15 July.
