Good to know – FAQs of new (and sometimes not so new) employees at the Medical Faculty

The Welcome Center of the Faculty of Medicine provides you with an information brochure (“Accommodation Information”) which contains useful tips on finding accommodation on the private housing market.

A housing application is also made to the University of Tübingen upon your request.

The Welcome Center of the Faculty of Medicine acts as an interface between the administration of the University Hospital Tübingen, the individual institutions as well as the municipal authorities.

Ms. Daniela Neu and Ms. Natalia Backe will be pleased to advice, guide and assist the international researchers in non-academic matters. They will be provided with all the important information regarding their stay in Tübingen.

Research data management (RDM) is an essential prerequisite for the digital preservation, reusability and archiving of scientific data. The University of Tübingen supports responsible and sustainable handling of research data and offers a variety of services in this area, across disciplines as well as for specific fields.

Deutschland-Ticket as a job ticket

The University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine contribute to monthly or annual subscriptions for local public transport, irrespective of the specific arrangement and provided that these are used at least for the journey between home and work, with a flat-rate subsidy of 29.50euros per full calendar month.

Get connected with the Intranet “Just Social

  1. Open a browser (Firefox or Edge)
  2. Enter https://intranet.medizin.uni-tuebingen.de as the address
  3. You will be redirected to Login TEIS . Log in with your UKT user name and the corresponding password or use your existing Windows login.
  4. If you are logging in from the Internet: Confirm your identity using the second factor.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will remain logged in until the browser is closed or you log out of JustSocial. If you want to save your login for 14 days, you must log in with your user name and password and tick the box "Remember login on this computer".
