iFIT Lunch & Learn Session with Dr. Lukas Mager
“The microbiome as a checkpoint blockade therapy adjuvant”

On behalf of the iFIT spokespersons Lars Zender, Hans-Georg Rammensee and Bernd Pichler, it is our pleasure to inform you about and invite you to the iFIT Lunch & Learn Session 2023 that will take place
on Wednesday, February 22nd at 12:00 pm s.t.
at Crona HS 210 (Crona Kliniken, Hoppe-Seyler-Straße 3, 72076 Tübingen).
Our guest speaker, Dr. Lukas Mager [University Hospital Tübingen - IRG leader for Microbe-Immuno-Oncology will give a talk on
“The microbiome as a checkpoint blockade therapy adjuvant”.
“Genetic aberrations, which are essential for the development of cancer, as well as other factors such as inflammation play a crucial role in cancer development, progression and therapy response. The effect of the microbiota, trillions of microbes that colonize our body surfaces, on cancer development is less well known. Despite numerous associations between diverse bacteria, viruses or fungi with cancer development, their mechanistic and causal relationship with cancer is poorly understudied. We aim at better understanding causal bacterial-cancer interactions and how they impact on cancer therapy, with a focus on immune checkpoint blockade therapy.”
As a special feature of this program, the iFIT will sponsor free lunch packages! (First come, first serve)
All members of the University Hospital and University of Tübingen are invited to participate!
We look forward to this Lunch & Learn session and to see you there!
