What training is required?
We provide training on an individual basis.
Training is usually divided into 3 Sessions á 2 hours for Cell analyzers.
Based on that, the usage of the CYTEK™ Aurora requires only one additional “hands-on-training”.
After the training, the participants receive a Certificate of attendance.
Instrument training for Cell Analyzers and CYTEK™ Aurora is mandatory for scheduling appointments via PPMS.
Sorts and Image Stream measurements will be performed by the Facility staff.
Please contact our Facility staff for a training appointment.
I have used identical equipment somewhere else. Do I have to be trained again?
Yes. To maintain the quality of our service you are required to be acquainted with our facility standards as well as our terms and conditions. If the user can provide fundamental flow cytometry knowledge already, the 3 training sessions may be summarized into one session only.
How do I schedule an appointment?
In order to book an appointment you need to have a user account on our online booking system PPMS.
For sort appointments: If you already have an account on PPMS, simply go to the online calendar and book your time window of choice.
How do I cancel an appointment and is there a penalty?
A booked session can be cancelled free of charge until 24 hours before the actual starting time.
Thereafter, the usage fees will apply to our late cancellation policy (see Charges and Fees). If a user does not show up through the entire booked session, usage fees will be calculated according to booked time.
Can I sort my samples autonomously?
All sorts are performed by our Facility staff.
What happens to our data once we have finished an experiment?
It’s your data. Please take it with you, we recommend storing your data on multiple places. The Facility keeps only temporary copies of flow cytometry files.
What do I need to know about laboratory safety?
Our Facility labs provide environment for working with genetically modified organisms at biosafety level 2 (S2). The general rules and guidelines apply.
