Das Klinikum

Nach dem Studium der Humanmedizin an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München habe ich die Facharztausbildung zur Neurologin am Uniersity Hospital der Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (USA) und die Fachweiterbildung zur Neuro-Onkologin am Massachussets General Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute der Harvard University in Boston (USA) abgeschlossen. Zuletzt war ich als Interim Director des Bereichs Neuroonkologie am Perlmutter Cancer Center/NYU Langone Medical Center an der New York University in New York (USA) tätig. Als Neuronkologin habe ich langjährige Erfahrung in der Behandlung und Betreuung von Patienten mit einem diversen Spektrum an Tumoren des zentralen und des peripheren Nervensystems. Eine interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit mit den Kollegen aus der Neurochirurgie, Strahlenonkologie und Pathologie ist mir dabei besonders wichtig, auch und gerade um damit eine individuelle Beratung unserer Patienten und deren Angehörigen zu ermöglichen.

After completing Medical School at the Ludwig-Maximilans-University in Munich, Germany, I received my professional training at University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (USA) and at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard University in Boston (USA). I am a board-certified neurologist and diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and a board-certified neuro-oncologist through the United Council of Neurological subspecialities (UCNS). As a neurooncologist, I have longstanding experience in the treatment and care of patients with a diverse spectrum of tumors afflicting the central and peripheral nervous system. I particularly value the interdisciplinary work with my colleagues in neurosurgery, radiation oncology and neuropathology as I strive to offer individual-oriented and state-of-the art consulations to my patients and their families.
