The Talent Academy of the Faculty of Medicine Tübingen was founded at the end of 2022 to provide young scientists with a portfolio of measures that are individually customized to their needs. The aim is to enable them to develop their potential in the best possible way thanks to an excellent academic environment and to be able to plan their careers in a more targeted manner.
Goals
The overall goal of the Academy is the coordination and structuring of qualification offers and support programs in the various career tracks for future leaders in science (Clinician, BioMedical, Data, Educational Scientists).
In the Talent Academy, already existing initiatives and individual measures are bundled and placed in an overarching framework. In addition, new opportunities will be created to support and promote young scientists in the best possible way.
In addition to advice and qualification, Talent Academy sees among its tasks to create exchange opportunities between researchers of different career stages and tracks - even beyond the Faculty of Medicine and Tübingen.
Tasks and services
The basic tasks of the Talent Academy include:
- Offering qualification courses for specific target groups.
With the event database, for example, an overview of existing target group specific offers for doctoral students, PhD students, postdocs and “Habilitierende” is provided
Establishment of science track specific communities within the faculty and with other national locations
Networking of the existing graduate schools
Establishment and maintenance of a talent management database
