Visiting Internships/ Clinical Observerships

The Department of Radiology Tuebingen offers a limited number of short-term visiting internships/ observerships. These internships may help you get acquainted to the German healthcare system and clinical workflows. We offer rotations in abdominal/body, musculoskeletal, gynecologic, cardiovascular, interventional and pediatric radiology. Please note that due to medico-legal regulations, during these internships, you might not personally touch or examine any patients or perform any procedures. The duration of an internship is limited to 2 months and is offered to graduated and fully approved physicians. Our department does not charge a fee and does not offer any reimbursement. However, we demand a clarification of the applicant’s financial support. As clinical routine and clinical conferences are held in German, the applicant is required to prove adequate German language skills documented with at least a B1-Certificate from the Goethe Institute.

Visiting Residency

The Department of Radiology Tuebingen offers a limited number of positions for residency. The German radiology residency lasts for at least 60 months and encompasses rotations in abdominal/ body, musculoskeletal, gynecologic, cardiovascular, interventional and pediatric radiology and ends with a successful board exam. As visiting resident you will have the same duties and obligation as German residents, i.e. we demand participation in on-call duties and research activities. A visiting residency is only offered to graduated and fully approved physicians. Our department does not charge a fee and does not offer any reimbursement. We demand a clarification of the applicants financial support. A visiting residency may be transformed in a regular residency after a certain time when the resident proves successful. The applicant will fully participate in clinical routine and clinical conferences, so that the applicant is required to document advanced German language skills with at least a B2-Certificate from the Goethe Institute and a successful TestDaF-exam.
